Re: 'Minty' S Build.

Just realized i am seriously derailing thread as usual xD Anyhow. My local spings dealer is confusing me. Thats what i understood from him. 1. Re: Chip tuning 1.4i, worth it?

VTG http://www.vtg.pl/ said its possible to achieve 100-105hp IF i will also use only 98 fuel and with a slight tweak to exhaust system + chip tuning
Some local company promised +10hp +10nm with just engine chip tuning

Re: 'Minty' S Build.

I was originally thinking springs but h&r (thats the most popular, right?) spring cost more then those coilovers and coilovers seem to be better all around solution.
But what will give most comfortable ride?

Re: Should I go for bigger brakes on the 6R?

Ye but whats the conclusion: will it stop a non-gti polo better? I guess it wont 99% of the times, cause stock brakes are just "powerful enough".
or?

Re: Should I go for bigger brakes on the 6R?

Bigger brakes does NOT stop your car quicker compared to stock ones. What bigger brakes does: a) they are more "informative" and theoretically give more feedback b) they cant overheat (although its hard to overheat stock ones in you are not on the track) c) they look cooler d) they will la...

Re: New on here

sorry for stupid question but what does air filter do? I mean why would one want to upgrade?

as for badge — if its the only white thing in your car it wont look good imo. Need something else like white wheels.

Re: Chip tuning 1.4i, worth it?

First of all tuning means you can setup your engine and dsg the way you like it to work. Secondly you can put it that way — 1.2tsi is +$2000 compared to 1.4i (although i didnt buy tsi because they werent available at that time) for $250 you are offered 10% power increase on your engine +tuning. As f...

Re: Chip tuning 1.4i, worth it?

Chip-tuning is "software" tuning. I am pretty sure you can revert it back at any point of time if you want to even if it voids warranty.
