for dpf and egr you will have to flash maps in ecu( visit your local tuner)

The ring that holds the gaiter on mine knob didnt crack. And i think you will get a new on with a new shift knob.
In worse case you can use a zip tie, like on jdm cars...

The gaiter fabric is glued to the plastic trim piece, Im not sure if its also stapled into the plastic. But i remember its glued.

If you think jubilee clip would rub you could put some cloth tape over it.

i've "heard" that KYB dampers are a bit firmer than the rest, so if you want a bit tighter/ firmer option with normal price you have that option.

I've found its a good practice to clean the carriers where the pad slides with a file ( just file down the rust layer), the steel brush never cleans it properly it just shines up the rust layer.
And to make sure the pad slides freely withouth sticking in the carrier
