Just got some new wing mirror covers sprayed black pearl. Opinions please.

Well i've driven a 150 miles now on standard unleaded and to be honest i can not feel a meaning full difference.
However as the recommended fuel is the higher octane one i will be using that next time.

i will report back on my mpg next time i fill up.

Just checked my oil after 3850 Miles and it is bang on the middle of the dipstick. Which means i have only had to fill in 1 litre of oil in. When i filled it up though i did only put the cheap VW oil in it not any branded one. maybe that's what's making the difference and its half the price.

I've Done 3600 miles in mine and the best I've got from a tank in 305 miles, but most my driving is NSL dual carriageways and A Roads.

How are you guys getting that much from the GTI? the best Ive managed so far is 295 on a full tank and that was stretching it till i had 15 miles left on the range.
