I love the idea of the short shift. The feel of the gearbox is one thing I have to fault on the car. You can move the gearstick so much from side to side when it's in gear and I find when I accelerate quickly the gearstick moves slightly. Not out of gear but just a nudge out. I don't know if it makes much of a difference but mine aren't the same headlights as you. Standard Mk5 ones. It must have got it at production. Noticed it really early on.

Somehow I managed to get a fly stuck in my headlights. G-d knows how. Looked right around the unit and saw no way in.

Surely I'm not the only one with one!
