Sensor problem

Post by Claus »

Hello everyone! I am owning a 2001 Polo 1.0 L petrol and since Monday I experience the following problem

I was driving around 2 miles when my car just cut the power and didn’t wanted to start after that. The spark plugs, ignition leads and ignition coil was changed around 1 month ago, but because I had problems with the previous leads from HAAS and the new ignition coil is from the same brand, I have replaced it with the old one and surprinse, the car started, but it’s intrerupting very bad, rough idle and loosing power (shaking under 2000 RPM)
I have cleaned the camshaft sensor as well, but still nothing changed.

Can someone, please, tell me if it’s possible that the ignition cool to be bad and the new one to just get broken in 1 month? Or it’s more likely to be the camshaft or crankshaft sensor the problem?

On diagnostic, i have code P0301 and P0304 after the car stopped working. Before, misfire cylinder 1 was active and check engine light on, but fuel consumption was great and the car was working just fine.

Thank you for all of your help!

Could be a faulty DIS module (what you call a coil) and or faulty leads

Only use good quality modules. Either genuine or Bosch
