dash speaker replacement

Post by taliban »

i've suffered long enough with the tinny oem things in my P reg,
firstly, how are they removed? is it just a case of removing the grill?
secondly, are they 10cm? mounting depth?
cheers..

Smaller than that I think. Lift up the grill with a small screwdriver and then unscrew them. Very easy.

how do you replace the dash tweeters because i looked at them and there are two sets of cables going into them and if u unplug one the front door speakers stop working

the door speakers are spliced into the tweeter wires so all you have to do is copy the setup for the new wires and new speakers and it will be fine.

If you want to replace the tweeters properly, buy a set of components with a crossover box in them, and wire it all up as per the instructions - signal wire into the crossover, one set of wires to the door speakers and one to the tweeters.
