Spare Tyre Removal

Post by kristafari »

Anyone out there that has done this to their polo? My cousin owns an Alarms n Sounds Shop. thought it was pretty dudeish when a 50 year old came in and asked him to remove the spare tyre and replace it with a sub and two amps.

so to anyone who has tried this, is it worth the risk of not having the spare?

I have done this, i have a 12" sub in a nice sized box which sits sideways and to save space i mounted the 2 amps, farad cap and all wiring into the spare wheel well which is all screwd onto a round piece of wood so nothing gets damaged and is all hidden then i can still use the boot space.

how did you make your cover, mdf is just too heavy in my opinion though you know it aint gonna move!

you put it in the well sideways? i presumed it would just fit facing either up or down.

do you have any pics bro?

really, sick! where is it that ur based?

surely you can do a tidy job of putting the sub & amps in the well of the spare tyre and leave the boot space vacant.

how much would that cost
