RDC 310

Hi
I have RDC310, but the AUX input doesn't work, or show in the menu. It does show CD Ext. I have removed the stereo and found a iPod Adapter which has the old style 30 pin iPod connection, this has been wired into the input adapter in back of the stereo. When I plug an old style iPod in this work, but Id rather have the AUX input so I can use a bluetooth adapter.
Basically can anyone help so the AUX shows in the menu on stereo and not CD Ext.
PS I have remove the iPod connection from stereo and check AUX lead is connected and still not working
