Warning lights

I have an 07 Polo 1.2 E with an intermittent fault. The ABS warning light keeps coming on with accompanying bleeps. Also the power assisted steering light comes on and sometimes the PAS is lost, which makes the car very difficult to drive if not dangerous. The car went into the local VW dealer several times in March before they cracked the problem. To my horror the problem has started again. The car is going back to the dealer to be serviced next week and I hope this solves the problem. My problem is the car will be out of warranty next March, and I'm afraid of this problem occuring after that. Has anyone had a similar problem or can offer advice?

Have you checked the abs sensors on each of your wheels the front ar in the hub carriers and are running off the same loom as the wear indicators for your brakes. The back will be in the drum back plate or the hub if discs could be that the wires have come loose or damaged with road debris.

Did the dealer sort it? My wife's car has very similar problems. We've changed all four sensors, had the ABS ECU checked by a specialist. Still happening.
