Correct control arms?

Post by TitusGroan »

Failed MOT on BOTH control arms. Looking on eBay for new ones, the reg lookup says the ones in the first pic are correct. But the actual arms are as in the second pic - with the rearmost bushing being flat with a vertical securing bolt. The other side - to the front - is a bush not a pin. How can this be? It's a '58 Polo 1.4 TDI Bluemotion

Your first picture is the most common front lower arm fitted to a 9n3 polo but towards the end of the model run ie 2008 onwards certain models will have the other type fitted as per 6R polo.

You really need to search via vin number as eBay compatibility is hit and miss at best.
