Nah, the dipped lights even looked that bright white before I upgraded the sidelights. Not sure why they should look different from yours.
Loom quality differences?
The sidelight bulbs complete the package and get rid of that tired yellow look we all hate. The sidelights aren't as bright as they look in the lamp closest to us in the pic, I just caught some glare from the reflectors inside. It looks more like the other lamp in real life - detaling shapes and chrome inside the lamp in a Xenon white colour.

Those sidelights are wicked!
I've gotta get better lights for mine, I've had high performance bulbs before though and they lasted only 11 months, how good is the life with these Philips ones?

Here we have some before and after comparisons. They are both comapred on the same lane at the same spot, so it's fair comparison. You can see the difference, but the photo's don't do it justice.

what sort of voltage are you getting at the bulb?

Are the Super White sidelight bulbs MOT legal?
I've just got them free with a set of Vision Plus H4s, just curious if they can stay in for the MOT?

Yes, no problem. The only problem is when the main H4 bulbs are higher wattage. But theres no need for that when you have an uprated loom and vision plus bulbs.
I'm going to modify the one supplied from pitstop so it fits neater. Might even knock a few more up at the same time.

for what? you planning on getting an uprated loom from pitstop, or you gonna build your own, or are you just talking bout changing the bulbs?

i used steve-o's guide on club polo for mine, took about 30 mins to knock them together and about £10 in electrical bits, so not hard.
as for bulbs, most people agree that phillips vision plus bulbs are the best, you can get these (plus a uk-p discount) from powerbulbs for around £20.

i have done the bulbs (which improved it a bit) but i still havn't got around to fitting the loom, yet, got it sitting on my desk but just havn't had a chance to fit it

it is actually quite simple mate, i know nothing about electrics and i got all the bits together from maplins, put it all together and had no problems, i had a lil trouble just working out my system because i converted it for use on a mk2, but mk3 should really just be plug and play
