Good Afternoon, I am looking for some advice on my AAU to NZ engine replacement and would be very grateful for any advice regarding a few queries I am having.
The 1st stumbling block I have come across is the distributor, it has a vacuum advance on it so I was wondering if I could swop the dizzy out for the AAU distributor, if this is not feasible could I tee off the vacuum line from the throttle body?
Secondly I have noted that the coil/amplifier has a 6 gang connector block on it whereas the coil/amplifier for the AAU only has 3? Again I’m wondering if I could get away with using the AAU coil on the NZ engine?
I’m guessing I probably won’t be able to do any of the above so would be more than happy to swap with an AAV if anyone had one and who is after an NZ engine! Fingers crossed! Rich.
