Hey Guys,
Recently purchased my new polo, its a 65 plate 1.2 tsi se, and I'm loving it so far. I've got a couple of mods I'm planning on doing, but need to work out whether this is a 6R or 6C.
I thought that anything after 2014 models were a 6C, 1 point for 6C.
However, on the Vin number and chassis number it has 6R in it. the model number then begins with 6C.
It's probably me being stupid but there is so much conflicting evidence I don't know what to believe. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Kieran

Re: 6R or 6C?

Re: 6R or 6C?
The the internal design of the headlights, plus the design of the lower front grille with the chrome strip dipping down below the lower light clusters indicates that it’s a 6c.
Visually, it’s easier to tell whether it’s a 6c or 6r from the infotainment unit and the number of buttons / switches above the infotainment unit.
The pictures in the thread at the link below show a 6c and 6r Polo Blue GT dashboard. The first picture is a 6c, so your infotainment unit should be the same style as the infotainment unit in picture 1. In the row of buttons/switches above the infotainment unit, the 6c should have either space for six buttons/switches and two card holder slots to the right of the buttons/switches or space for nine buttons/switches and no cardholder slots. (The 6r has space for 7 buttons / switches).
