Hellllllllllo,
Just been looking on VW's website & seen exhaust trim? £110 fitted.
Anyone ever purchased this? & would I be able to get it on a Moda...
Its saying "Only suitable for 38mm exhaust. Only for 1.2L petrol. Not suitable with visible standard exhaust." - I cant see my exhaust when looking at the back so would this be for me??
Part No: 6R0071910A

Depends on what engine you have:Polo 2011 Moda wrote:I cant see my exhaust when looking at the back so would this be for me??

1.2 petrol with "invisible" exhaust (38mm) = 6R0071910A
1.2 TDI and 1.6TDI with "invisible" exhaust (55mm) = 6R0071910B
So one of the two above for your car. They're both 101,00EUR in Germany (fitting NOT included), so I'd be surprised if you could find one for £30...
Interestingly, the German configurator says about both of the above: "Nur in Verbindung mit: 6R0071610 GRU Heckschürzen-Lippe" which translates to: "Only together with: 6R0071610 GRU rear bumper skirt"! Which probably means that since the exhaust tip needs to be an awkward angled shape to go round the standard bumper's edge to become visible, VW feel it needs the rear skirt to hide that kink when the car is viewed from a side???
(And yes, you can get an Audi A1 exhaust tip for £30, but it's only suitable for the bigger-engined Polos with a visible 65mm exhaust and a cut in the bumper. And the Audi one (chromed stainless: 8P0071771; matt aluminium: 8P0071771A) is not identical in shape or construction to the Polo one (6R0071910).

He said about the lower skirt but couldn't give me a price. Also said that the shape of the new exhaust might be down & then out but couldn't confirm because he had no pictures!!
