Multifunction display (trip computer)

For retrofitting multifunction display only need suitable switch stalk and three wires. You can see inside the red box in the diagram.

In order to provide the inputs signals to control the MFD, you need the cables on these terminals T32/22, T32/21, T32/23.

On cars that have MFSW with buttons on the right side and no trip computer buttons on the wiper stalk, how does it work?

sir,
does that mean a "midline cluster" with "NO TRIP" buttons on stalks can get more information in the instrument cluster?
irrespective of whichever BCM?

The buttons on MSFW are sent as canbus commands.
Not as wire inputs like the stalk uses.

I am planing to do the same thing to my Polo 6c (MY2016)
I have bought the stalks (6C0953501A), i prepared the wiring (T10/9 to T73a/15, T10/8 to T73a/16, T10/10 to T73a/17).
The question is: do i have to enable this through long coding (via VCDS)? And if i have, should I have to follow the same procedure, as described on this thread ?
