Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems

Post by hepike »

Hi,

Today I have installed on my 2010 1.6CRTDI polo a CCS kit. Used VCDS to code in aaaaand not working. Triple checked every connection from lever to BCM and the codes in ECU and BCM as well.

The buttons on the lever works fine I have checked it with a digital multimeter.

Checked the buttons with VCDS in measuring blocks on address 09. Every button work properly exept CANCEL. The value of 4-2 is not changing regarding its position. And I think this prevent me to turn on the CCS.

What can I do? Anybody faced with same issue?

Thanks,
Adam.

Hello the number is 1K0953513 F
I correct and add photo

Regards
stalk.png
This is the part number of stalk that I have used in my car: 5Z0953513H
Image
But your car is a Up! pepper and if I'm right it must have automated wipers, and because of that you need a different stalk like this 1k5953502k or something similar but with a different connector like as the first part number.
Exactly that is correct. My idea is to disassemble and change only the left stalk. Here in Argentina it has been impossible for me to get that piece.
It is also added that they stopped selling the UP from the beginning of the year.
Incredibly it is more difficult to buy from Brazil from here, than from another part of the world.
I'm also trying to get the TURY 2.18 module.
This is bad, the difficult is to found someone who that are able to export to Argentina? I have never done this, but if you need some help, maybe I can try to help you.

The main switch shows when it's on or off? It might be a problem on switch ON/CNL/OFF

Yes, the car register on/off state correctly. Both ecu and bcm. And also the switch works properly: on cancel line normali there is 12V after i turn on the lever. Then if i push the switch to cancel state the voltage deop to 0V on cancel line. If I release the rocker 12V comes back. Checked its wire through the bcm and looks fine, passed the continuity test.

Hi,

I have sorted the issue out. The problem was the pin 47 of the BCM. The pin was bent. I have fixed and it started to work.

Hello guys,
I also have some problems with the Cruise Control Retrofit. Maybe someone has an idea.
The Details of my Car are:
Polo 6R (manufacturing year 2010)
Central Electric Module (09) ia a Midline (VAG Number ends with 087)

I checked the hardware key switches of the cruise control with VCDS. I think that should be fine.
The Keys "Res/+", "Set/-", "On", "Off", "Cancel" are working. And here is my first question: Am I right, that if I get the right answer of the keys with VCDS that my wiring is fine?

On the first page of this thread is a post from ciclo showing the coding in VCDS.I set in the BCM Bit 7 in Byte 17, like ciclo shows it. For the Engine I am not getting the typical Coding Screen like ciclo is showing it on page one. For that I just opened the engine in VCDS and clicked on "Coding II - 11". I then entered the Code 11463. Is that right?

If I switch now the Cruise Control from Off to On, I get an error in VCDS. It shows me:

Code: Select all

1 Error found:
17977 - Switch for Cruise Control (GRA/E45)
P1569 - 000 - Signal not plausible
...
Am I right that my mistake is in the coding process and the wires should be fine?

Thank you so much for your help.

Did you also put a wire into the engine control unit?

Yes, you're right in what concerns the communication of CCS switches with BCM.

On the first page of this thread is a post from ciclo showing the coding in VCDS.I set in the BCM Bit 7 in Byte 17, like ciclo shows it. It doesn't seem like it's the correct way to code the engine unit, but since it's a 2010 6R anything is possible ... :)

If I switch now the Cruise Control from Off to On, I get an error in VCDS. It shows me:

Code: Select all

1 Error found:
17977 - Switch for Cruise Control (GRA/E45)
P1569 - 000 - Signal not plausible
...
Am I right that my mistake is in the coding process and the wires should be fine?
It's one of the possibilities.

Thank you so much for your help.

+1 ... :?:

Please quiddi, show us a full VCDS scan.
It is only necessary to show the units involved, Engine and BCM. (please, copy and paste here the units, ... with faults -)
I am totally sure that this problem has an easy solution ...

Thanks.

T80/24
Image

- BCM and engine unit are well coded.👍
- CMAA MM4HV G 8993
G means GRA
- Draw your own conclusions with this info.

Hint: check the wire reaching the engine unit.
- Check that it is inserted correctly, you must remove the pink locking mechanism from T80 connector in order to insert it properly.

8) Great! Enjoy it. Thanks for reporting.

I also want to send many greetings and kisses to Germany, more to Holland, and many more to the United Kingdom.

I take the opportunity to greet the United States, Russia, China, India, Australia and the rest small countries around the world.
