Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
I have a feeling you're having an MQB car, which is not the kind of car you can install cruise control in without specialized tools.
You need to code the cruise control using ODIS to activate the SVM/FEC document.
There is no diode in your Ibiza 6P.
Wiring:
stalk
1 fuse ACC
2 T94/56 + T73a/53
3 T73a/29
4 T94/56, T73a/53
5 T73a/28
6 T73a/52

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Hi iichel,
thank you for your quick reply.
Okay, than I did everything pretty well. I connected everything as you described already during the weekend. I just left out the wire to the ECU and hadn't the right steering wheel levers.
I already programmed via ODIS and got an EPC lamp on, because communication with the steering wheel levers still missing.
The right steering wheel levers will arrive on Friday, than I am ready to use my cruise control.
If you are interested in, I did the work mostly by the following manual: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1griKFx ... sp=sharing).
Thank you very much!

Okay.... Today my new steering wheel lever arrived and I assembled everything again.

I programmed the Byte 5 bit 5-6 to 20 (PR-8T2/8T6). This should be right, isn't it?
Thank you in advance.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Did you already use odis to activate the FEC?

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
First of all, thank you again.
I'm still not 100% sure, whether I need a FEC or not. My dealer told me on the phone, that he doesn't think so, but everything what I read, you are probably right.
I will go tomorrow to a dealer and let him have a look.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Hi, I had a similar problem and it was in the switch ON/OFF of the cruise control, check if the power is passing through this switch. I don't know if is the same problem because I don't speak german, but it can be a possible way to found a solution.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Now I know, that I need a FEC, but don't want to pay hundreds of Euros, just because VW wants to sell me the cruise control
The power supply on the stalk works good. If I switch the CCS on, I see a sign in my cockpit, that says there is a problem with the CCS. So it recognizes, that I want to switch it on, but does not allow me.
Is there any other way enabling CCS without FEC? I read about workshops, which do it without, but they are all online and not really trustfull.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Hi, I'm Pablo from Argentina, sorry for my English with google translator.
I need your help, I am installing cruise control to my vw UP TSI.
I have not got a corresponding stalk, I have one from a vw vento with the same format. The circuit has 5 wires and I was able to identify some, but looking at Elsawin's diagrams I can't find the 6th wire, and I'm also not sure which wire corresponds to pin 44 and pin 46
Attached some photos, my diagram is based on the T16d connection with ECU pin T94 / 56
Greetings and thanks.
This group has been a great help to me

Hi Pablo. I have installed CCS in my up tsi too. I don't know if this information could be important to you, but I know that pin 44 corresponds to SET button on stalk, pin 46 corresponds to RES button and pin 47 to CANCEL. You don't have any feedback from stalk or they are showing wrong? in up the sequence is:Pablo f wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 10:18 pm Hi, I'm Pablo from Argentina, sorry for my English with google translator.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Hello Matmaz. Thanks for the data.
The problem is that the set and reset signal, I have it in a cable, I measured it with the multimeter and following the diagram I don't know if it has an internal bridge between set and reset since it sends two different signals.
Could you see any bridge inside the stalk? behind the terminal.
I attach a photo of the signals that I measured, pin 4 is the only one that has a cancel signal
I really appreciate your prompt response, your last questions helped me decide to upgrade.
Thank you

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
What is the part number of the stalk?
Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
This is the part number of stalk that I have used in my car: 5Z0953513H
But your car is a Up! pepper and if I'm right it must have rain sensor, and because of that you need a different stalk like this 1k5953502k or something similar but with a different connector like as the first part number.
Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Exactly that is correct. My idea is to disassemble and change only the left stalk. Here in Argentina it has been impossible for me to get that piece.Matmaz wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 2:47 pmThis is the part number of stalk that I have used in my car: 5Z0953513H

It is also added that they stopped selling the UP from the beginning of the year.
Incredibly it is more difficult to buy from Brazil from here, than from another part of the world.
I'm also trying to get the TURY 2.18 module.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Okay, maybe my last update.
After Seat officially replied on the request of my workshop:
There is no option to retrofit cruise control at a seat ibiza 6j (1.2TSI), because there is no SWAP/FEC code, because VW does not supply one.
So I have now way to activate cruise control. It is really a pity. I retrofitted all the hardware, to be not able to activate it.
