The preparation for the mod can already be seen. No hardware in this picture is to be changed.

Are you going to retrofit automatic transmition? I don't have another reason seeing the shift pads on the steering wheel.

Seeing the image, I remembered that I have to put the OBD2 socket back in its original place for the MOT (ITV).
I'm intrigued, I like this.

I did a mod!
OEM brake pad indicator!
Wiring:
Tacho T32/15 to the brake pad. Connect the other wire of the brake pad to GND.
I only did the front axle by the way.
Coding:
You need to read the EEPROM of your instrument cluster and change offset 02D3 (line 02D0 byte 3) and take bit 0 and change to 1.
In my case, I changed HEX 46 to 47.
Then you can code byte 1 bit 0 of the instrument cluster. 140E01 to 140F01
Now if the brake pad is worn, the contact will break and the instrument cluster will tell me.

Ok, without right headlight. ...or do you mean something else?
However, I think our 6Rs are authentic pirates a long time ago (not just shock absorbers, big wheels, painted flames... ).
Clearly, you really enjoy your 6R.

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Bluemotion --> OEM++ R-Line conversion
Yes haha. I removed the entire front of the car, including supporting frames. It was needed to place back the headlight for alignment of the bumper and headlights.
Afterwards I remove the left headlight (right on the picture) to continue work on the DSG wiring (DSG connector and starter inhibitor relay).
I am absolutely still enjoying my 6R(s), in two weeks the Rosa-Line will have its 9th birthday. However, I think our 6Rs are authentic pirates a long time ago (not just shock absorbers, big wheels, painted flames... ).

It's funny we still call it the Rosa-Line, even though we broke up almost two years ago.
There is always more potential to unlock in a car and there is always more things to learn.
