What is eeprom?
I have purchased cluster on eBay it's used cluster
I have requested vw to install let's see what they do.

Eeprom is a component where all the definitions of the cluster are.
To access it is necessary to disassemble the entire cluster because it is located below the central display.
We need to change that component?

As this component is cheap you can replace and save the original.
The procedure is to extract the data from the eeprom and change the required fields and write again to the same eeprom or write to another without changing the original.

A question to who have the amarok dashboard retrofitted in their car;
I've done swap, everything works correctly but the boot lid open warning doesn't.
If I test it with vcds, in the measurement channel IDE00303-MAS00222 there is there is the right behaviour, but nothing appears in the display.
The other doors works correctly.
Maybe because Amarok is a pickup, they have disabled the boot lid open warning in the eeprom.

Someone knows at which offset lies this setting so I can turn it on?
Thank you

In the end I was able to solve all the adaption issues with a massive multiple eeprom comparing from various models and versions. There are big changes in 1xxx eeprom layout, that was long and tedious. Brake fluid ok, speed signal ok, boot lid ok, fuel tank ok, low fuel warning ok, picture ok.

Hey there,

I have also retrofitted the Amarok cluster to my 1.2 TDI Polo. Did all the adaptions and changes in the eeprom with VDOeditor and manually using some russian spreadsheat I found :lol:

Like gelotus I already have compared many eeprom saves, but to this date wasn't able to find where the boot lid warning light and the TMPS is beeing enabled.

I've been driving around without those features for a year now, but would like to enable them.
