I guess the best thing is to get help from someone who has already done this installation and who lives near you.
Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Hi Ciclo,
Sorry to bother you again
I am about to finish off my van, however I still dont have HBA mirror, so I want to leave all wires ready
For instalation without HBA autolights relay is triggered by T73a/1, should that wire stay there and be connected with wire that comes from fuse box for HBA or what to do to get autolights working ?
What is the best place to take feed for footwell lighting?
Thanks for help with getting cruise control emulator
Cheers

Cool, I have more pictures to put up later.
Received the 4B0 plug today and it looks good, I dont suppose you know the VW part number for the flexible rubber boot that will fit the 4B0 plug? I cant access the parts diagrams at the moment.

Hello bropasiek
T5 Diagrams https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z_-f0C ... sp=sharing
T6 Diagrams https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... sp=sharing
The relay for automatic lights is not necessary with electrical installation T6, which is the correct one for HBA. The electrical installation T5 is not suitable for HBA.
The BCM coding takes care of activating the automatic lights once everything is wired as in the diagrams for T6, as I explain here: viewtopic.php?p=575865#p575865
Footwell lights:
+ve T73a/65
-ve T73a/4
Ambient lights: (LEDs recommended)
+ve T73b/4 (before or after dimmer)
-ve any Ground point.

You will have to investigate which one is correct for that connector. (hole diameter, etc)
Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Hi Ciclo,
For 7E0 stalk and HBA
Do I need 7E0...90 ?
Or 7H0...90 will do the job as well ?
Everything is pre wired and ready for HBA once mirror with camera arrive like on diagram you send me, just different fuses SB18 and SB22 for HBA feed, SB6 and SB28 for high beam
Footwell lights work great !!!
Not sure now if they connected before or after dimmer as I was keep swaping wire from one to another
One way they lights up only when doors open other way they lights up when is dark like ambient lights
Once again thanks for help, yours knowledge is priceless when retrofitting anything
I have quite a few pictures from my retrofit, but I think they will be more useful for someone who will be retrofiting T6 dash rather then xenons + auto lights

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Ah, sorry.
What is certain is that the HBA function was introduced with the 7E0937090 BCMs in T6.
Anyway, you can check it by modifying channel 53 to value 1. Either you will have errors indicating that the Light Assist is not available (or similar) or the icon will appear on the IC, otherwise the 7H0937090D does not support HBA.
We await your test results.

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Hi folks,
So, the new clutch has been fitted and the van has moved under its own steam for the first time since June
Level sensors are fitted but I cant seem to clear the fault codes for it.
I have attempted to run basic settings but have been unable to do so. VCDS shows an error message (which I will screenshot tomorrow).

Hi reido80
New coding
55 Address
0226000001000000
(I guess the chassis type - in Byte1 - is well coded by you for your T5)
---
Maybe you need to enter a SA first to run the basic setting.

Re: Auto headlight retrofit. VW Transporter. T5 (2010-2015)
Hi Ciclo, Thanks for your reply..
I have put in that code and entered the security access, it has not enabled me to run basic settings and the fault code reappears right after after they are erased.
The chassis is correct as far as I can work out. It is the only choice for AWD (4wd). I changed this to a 2wd chassis and tried again but it was still the same. What difference it makes is anyone's guess as the rear sensor is in the same location regardless of if its a 2wd or 4wd?
The warning shows this-
ERROR: Conditions not correct or request sequence error.
There is another option is the drop down for basic settings-
IDE01475-Resetting of all adaptations
I am reluctant to do this as when it is selected it shows the following.....
WARNING
Resetting adaptations in this module is likely not reversible, and reparameterization may require the dealer tool with online connection.
