Polo 6C Cruise control retrofit
Polo 6C Cruise control retrofit
Hi
Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit cruise control to a Polo 6C Bluemotion 2014, either through a new stalk or mfsw?
I would prefer to fit a mfsw but looking online there seems to be very little info on doing so and I assume it is harder than retrofitting stalks.
Would I need to get component protection removed and if so Is there anywhere in particular someone could recommend I go to?
My stock stalk look like this
Thanks

Re: Polo 6C Cruise control retrofit
the only retrofit way is to use the stalks on a 6c.

It's unlikely that the wiring for CCS is pre-installed. Furthermore you'll need to buy the retrofit kit, as it will contain a SWaP code. This code needs to be installed by the VW dealer to activate your CCS. Otherwise it will not work. This is the only way to do it.

My dealer retrofitted cruise on my 6C. I have the same stalks as you. It’s done by adding additional buttons to the steering wheel. The wires are not in place to do it by stalks.
The dealer has to get a license key to enable the option. It was not expensive so just let them do it..

Can you remember roughly how much it was?
I'm not going to bother fitting it myself since its too much of a faff but if I can find someone to do it I might get it done.

Re: Polo 6C Cruise control retrofit
Sorry for the slow reply. It cost me €380 (£300) which was about the same as the option price when new.
My dealer managed to break a bit of rubber off the back of the steering wheel while removing the switches so I even got a brand new steering wheel out of them for free!

Hi Shappers, Do you have a pic of the "additional buttons" fitted to the steering wheel please as I'm considering this upgrade for my motor and for 300 sheets (including a potential new steering wheel lol) it is worth considering. I have an SE bluemotion with trip meter and the phone/dash buttons on my wheel...

If they're added below the MFSW buttons with the addition of a new shiny black trim piece then I think I've just seen them...

Hello, I'm sorry for my slow reply. I've been having some extensive cancer surgery. Hoping to drive my Polo again soon
Here is the part removed from my car:
Here is the new switchgear:
And here is my work sheet (In Finnish) but it clearly shows the new part number is 6C0054690A. Parts €175, labour €205:

Hi guys, i have volkswagen polo confortline 6c
I changed the wiper levers with the buttons to control the instrument cluster, how could I activate the on-board computer control? the car does not have a steering wheel control
