6C GTI. Defrost Flap Motor failing/clicking.

Hi guys. Just after some info on the best way to remove the flap motor so I can have a look at ever a replacement or a fix. So far I’ve just pulled the cable on it as it sounds like a tiny elf is hitting the windscreen with a hammer every few seconds.

I have run Vcds flap learning sequence but it only cures it until I turn the car back on.

Even to get the the cable to unplug us a massive ballache and very tight. I have taken as much as I can out from the glove box side but still can’t work out a way or see any fixings for the motor.

Any help?

Or even better is someone knows the part number already?
