6R Auto Alarm Siren Location

Hi everyone,

We've been having issues with our Polo battery draining.
Diag shows an alarm fault so we think the alarm battery has died and is draining the main battery.
I found a guide that showed how to get to the alarm siren under the wipers, but our siren isn't there.
Also found a guide showing it was under the drivers front wheel arch, not there either (not even somewhere it could be mounted to).
Does anyone else know where the alarm siren could be? I've exhausted my google-fu skills...

it's in the space where the windscreen wipers live, in the middle.

If its not there its mounted to firewall 99%

So, probably it's an aftermarket alarm and not an original VW alarm?
