Polo 2010 6r Bluetooth options

Post by Funkyfin2000 »

Hi guys,

As mentioned in my other thread, I have a very basic 2010 6r which only has the CD player and radio.I'm looking to upgrade the speakers as per the other thread, but what can I do cheaply to get a Bluetooth option for the phone etc.

I guess I could replace the whole head unit? Not really sure what the options are.

Any help appreciated.

A bluetooth FM trasnmitter would work.

Something like this: https://www.amazon.es/Cocoda-Transmisor ... 219&sr=8-5

Nice work, ordered one up.

What about replacing the CD and radio player? Anyone know what the old model is called in the car and what it can be really replaced with?

I wanted reliable bluetooth hands free and audio without lots of add on's, adaptors and cables and bought a RCD330 head unit

This website tells you all about them:-

https://rcd330plus.com

I purchased mine from Aidu Auto on Aliexpress £246, arrived in around 10 days, packed perfectly, brand new.

You also get Apple Carplay and Android Auto, which takes care of the satnav function

Everything in one box and no need for a separate external mic for the handsfree

it is a plug and play replacement, takes about 10 minutes to fit, sits in the dash perfectly without any adaptors.

Only downside, no CD player and its not DAB, which didn't bother me, but may be important for you.

Please read about 330 plus there are a few versions. I think that Desay is the best one

Hi,

my RCD330 is the "noname" version.

it supports bluetooth hands free via the in built mic and the quality is perfect, it also supports bluetooth audio, again with good quality.

The unit does not have in built GPS, the sat nav function comes from your smart phone via the supported android auto or apple carplay using google maps or apple maps (in my case)

The phone connects via a standard phone usb lead to the socket on the front of the unit which then enables all the carplay and android auto functions.

It is not necessary to leave the phone plugged in when only using the standard bluetooth audio and handsfree.

Be careful if you are buying one, there are several different unit versions, with different firmware versions, which support different functions.

With certain models you can upgrade the firmware very easily, which I did with mine.

Do not buy the RCD360, it is a completely different cheap copy.

sorry, forgot to add

that the unit also supports the VW Park Pilot, if you have this fitted to the car already, and that shows on screen perfectly.

It will also support a rear view camera, should you wish to fit one.

Thanks - really useful! Appreciate that.

I'm looking at this one, that appears to be the right part number and I need Android Auto.

I don't have any steering wheel stuff, nor in dash display, it's literally a cheap base model 6r 2010 :)
