I use the 12v socket on my 94 6n to power my Bluetooth receiver and Nexus 7. I'm worried about flattening my battery is there a simple wiring mod to have the 12v socket turn off with the ignition? It seems odd that it would always be on. Sorry if this has been covered before! I just used a guide from this site to fit the 6n2 lights and they look great so thanks for that!
Passed my test first time last week at the age of 32, very late starter. I really wanted a 6n when I was 17 and now I do. Managed to find one in very good nick with only 64k on the clock. Not bad for a 20 year old car even if I do say so myself. Anyway thanks in advance!
6n 12v Always on. Can It be switched via ignition?

All you need to do is put a relay on the 12V wire with the coil triggered by an ignition live ten minute job

Thanks I assume I need a 12v relay then? My electronics knowledge is pretty poor.

Correct. a 12V relay from maplin.
http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/12v-30a-dc-sp ... elay-n00aw
Wiring:
So 30 is 12V original feed from the battery to the 12v socket, device is the the power socket (relay goes inline)
86 is the 12V ignition feed, and ground just goes to a brown wire, or the chassis somewhere.

Hi
Can anyone explain how the relay shown above is meant to be fitted to the car?
Also has anyone ever had any experience with the window regulators - my manual window goes down but not up.
Thanks

As above. For more clarity 86 goes to the something with an ignition live or the wire marked 15 on the ignition switch housing
Your window regulator sounds like the wires may have snapped. I’d suggest picking up a new one as they aren’t cost effective to repair being a manual
