Hi my driver's side front caliper is seizing, just got out at work and the wheel is black and the brake was smoking, can you still get the original Lucas calipers or will I have to get one like a pagid one or something? Thanks

You can get Lucas ones from GSF as rebuilt options with returning your faulty one

84.30 with GSF60 and you’ll get £30 back for returning the caliper too

You might want to think about new discs and pads. The disk could well be warped and the pad damaged if it was smoking

Why don't you rebuild the caliper? Ti be honest, I'd really suggest you to rebuild both the front calipers.
The o-ring and the other rubber stuff will cost much less if you buy them directly from VW.

For the sake of £54 having rebuilt callipers many times, I’d just pay it lol

Convenience is king lol

Hi, just so people are aware, I ordered a Lucas caliper from gsf but it didn't fit, it was too small for the GTi, I did eventually find a genuine GTi one which I ordered from cat automtice so all is well now.
