Why can't I remove my rear head restraints?

Post by JohnF »

My previous Polo (April 18) allowed me to remove the rear head restraints.

My new (April 21) Polo does not allow me to remove them, i.e. pull up, press the button and remove. The manual describing the removal uses this technique.

Despite the apparently identical construction and removal instructions, no amount of gentle persuasion will remove any of the three

Conclusions?
1) There is a fault
2) They are now not made to be removed despite the manual saying they can

Anyone had this issue?

Sorry, the video does not relate to my car.

Can someone with a new Polo have a go at removing their rear 3 head restraints and report back
Thanks

First lift them all the way up, then press BOTH buttons in and lift up/out, there's a slightly hidden recessed button on the opposite side to the main visible adjuster button.

Got it thanks. Pity the manual doesn't say that!
