I think it's usually just the YTS kid messing around on photoshop to be honest. Re: GTi gone (woohoo!)
That’s what I was thinking.
My GTI+ is the same age and similar mileage, so based on the asking price for @Andy Beats car, if mine was on a VW forecourt as an approved used car it’d probably be up for sale for £24.5k - £25k.
Used prices are really crazy just now……..
Re: GTi gone (woohoo!)
Out of curiosity I checked on WBAC and Motorway.com and got offered roughly £19k for my GTI+ with 11k miles on the clock. Thinking I could get more now.

Re: GTi gone (woohoo!)
I got £20300 for mine.
I'd guess the mileage on yours is a factor as mine was only 3800 miles and could be marketed as 'nearly new'
11000 miles is definitely more used, psychologically.

There's no denying WBAC aim low.
I was offered £19something from WBAC and would have had to add money to get rid of mine.
The dealer offered me £20300 and I had a small amount of equity.

Don't forget the price difference of a plus. Motorway.co.uk is generally a fair bit better than WBAC, always worth a try. I find dealers come in lower than motorway. Couldn't find a dealer to come within £1000 of the price I got for my A4 or 2019 GTI+.Andy Beats wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 12:49 pmWho from though?lancslad1985 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 12:39 pm I got 21k got my gti+ at 12k miles. I'd put the ref SW70 EEY and 3800 miles into their system if I weren't a bit concerned the dealer I sold it to got asked to offer
I've strung them along a bit as it was, making them think they were potentially getting another car off me.
Our youngest put the brakes on the UP GTi, told me not to be so silly.
And she pushed me to get the EV, she hated the racket the GTi made and kept telling me to slow down.
I now drive just as fast in the Leaf, but no complaints from her any more.

Re: GTi gone (woohoo!)
That was from VW Inchcape and paid off what I owed on the car and a bit of positive equity. Could I have gotten more going to wbac or motorway? Probably. I just needed a bigger car and the offer was right so wasn’t messing about selling it elsewhere, settling the finance then getting the new car.lancslad1985 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 12:39 pmI got 21k got my gti+ at 12k miles. Re: GTi gone (woohoo!)
I have a GTI+ with 14.6k miles and WBAC have offered £19.5k and Motorway suggest a valuation of £19922. That's on a Blue 2020 plate. Selling my car tomorrow ready for my Golf to arrive Monday.

Re: GTi gone (woohoo!)
So who are you selling to? WBAC are buying for themselves and will do all they can to chil you down. Motorway are just an agent for other buyers. They get a finders fee, no motivation to chip you down.Stuart_Rendall wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 7:28 pmI have a GTI+ with 14.6k miles and WBAC have offered £19.5k and Motorway suggest a valuation of £19922. I have used Motorway and they have connected me to a dealer. Selling the car for £19922 tomorrow all going well. I can't see it not happening tbh, car is in immaculate condition.monkeyhanger wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 8:22 pm So who are you selling to?
