1.0 engine swap

Post by Mad549 »

I just got a VW Polo 1.0 75BHP 2018. But after driving it I just find it well too slow. I was wondering if I can upgrade the engine. And if anyone knows which one to go for?

You would save yourself a lot of pain and money if you traded it in for one with a more powerful engine, engine swopping in modern cars is seriously a lot of work and pain - and you would end up with a dog that no insurance company would give you a reasonable premium on for cover, and you would be lucky if you could sell it for reasonable money.

So, really it is all negatives when thinking about engine changing/upgrading.

No under any circumstances. Change the car not engine.
