door speaker pods

Post by minis84 »

Hi

I saw a pic of a G40 on the G40 forum, and the front door pockets had speakers in them (looked about 13/16cm). I guess they're an aftermarket item, where do you get them from? They don't look over the top, but just look nice, and I'm sure will offer much nicer sound than just my Alpine 6x9's in the rear shelf.

Cheers!

Tom

I can't remember where they're from, but I do remember they're extremely expensive.. £80/door I think..

i dnt no why but £90 a side doesnt seem as bad IMO? Ive always wanted a set but £180 seems 2 xpensive.

There might be a (slightly) cheaper alternative. I was browsing through a Halfrods sepecial order catalogue, and came across some speaker pods for the Mark3 (the illustration was very definitely a Mark3 door! They were selling them at £140 the pair iirc.

Yeah, it's true. I'm sure I came across these pods in a Halfords catalogue thing in a store once while looking for some pods. I think they were indeed £140
