4 speed box is worth pennnies really, no real demand for them. Could probably name your price really. 5 speed would be worth about £50-90 depending on condition.
5 speed shouldn't be any hassle on your car really, as it's late spec.. just change the linkage and make sure your ARB is the late type and you're sorted.

take a photograph of the gear shift housing (from in the car - take off the leather or rubber boot) and take a photo of the antiroll bar and post em up. I can soon tell you if you need the anything more than just the box. Like GC says it shouldnt be a problem to fit a 5-speed box as late mk2s often have 5-speed linkages and anti roll bars anyway. You may find that more 5-speed boxes are available anyway.

that's me off to porka then, if the noise from this input bearing gets any worse...
a 5spd would be nice of course, but i think a 1.3 4-speed would do fine in a pinch and offer a far better cost:benefit ratio. 1st gear almost exactly the same, 4th a small but crucial 5% higher, no nobbing about with linkage woes or trying to fit the larger casing without it knocking on the way in where the old one didnt on the way out etc.
