Toad Ai606 + Mark4 Polo

Post by antonio_king »

The whole lot is wired up, except I can't get the damn remote central locking to work...

What coloured wires on the alarm connect to, what coloured wires on the polo?

cheers!

Also, Has anyone set there AI606 to turn on headlights, and close/open windows? If so... What wires go where.. Lol.

Also also... Has anyone got the type 2 microwave sensor, and type2 impact sensors? If so... What wires go where? (they didnt come with instructions)

Cheers Fellas...

Antonio

PS: I'm new here, hi! :D

Exactly the same place I've been looking at one

Did you dub come with C/L as standard? Mine don't unfortunately, so I'd need to get that sorted too....along with fitting, because I'd bugger it all up

Glad you like it dude, Im gonna have to get one 8)

@DScape... Brought my N reg 1.4 CL For £550, My first car, she needed a new windscreen, gearbox, clutch, 4 new tyres, and numerous little things.

I'm 18 years old, I've had my dub since January the 27th of 2005, and I've been legally driving it since April the 1st.

So thats a break down of my cars history.

@Mysteryboy... Go on, spill the beans. Help me protect my polo...

I can help you. ive fitted about three alarms in 6n Polos.

First of all where have you located your alarm unit module? is it under the steering or on the passenger side?

The mk4 has pnumatic locking but you need to create an extended +ve pulse in order to make this work... so u need to follow the wires on the alarm that control a positive pulse C/L locking system. You have to do a bit of splicing and soldering of two wires that are coming into the car from the doors. The c/l pump has nothing to do with this connection

the unit is situated on the passenger side.

So I use the Positive Central Locking method... Not Negative?
Someone told me negative... I followed that and f**k all happens.

Which 2 coloured wires do I wire into on the polo passenger door?

Cool, i think you must have wired a wire that needed to be soldered to a +12v wire to a earth point hence why nothing happened!
