Problem with 51 reg Polo PLEASE HELP!!
WHOOPS!! I think this is in the wrong section... The car is a MKVI - 51 reg
Ok, I think there's a problem with my friends 51 reg Polo.. After having an alarm fitted, she's noticed a 1 second buzzing noise coming from the engine bay each time the drivers door is opened after its been left for a length of time. Its the same sound that the engine makes when you put the ignition on.. Is this normal, or would it be something to do with the alarm being fitted? She can't remember if it did it before the alarm was put on.
Many thanks!!!

So its probably not a problem then? Does it do it everytime?
She said it doesn't do it everytime.. only when the car's been left locked for a few hours, or overnight.
The sound only happens for about a second or so...
She's not been able to replicate it whilst i've been there, so I'm starting to think she's gone mad, but she swears it happens! LOL

well i live up a really s**t road you see and it gets quite muddy at times and it seems as if it does it after i've driven it through the mud, i was thinking more along the lines of perhaps the rear drums letting in dirt, because the morning after it would really squeak when applying the break, its just a theory but mine hasn't done it since i cleaned the left rear.
and no it didn't do it from new
OOPS THIS WAS MEANT TO BE FOR ANOTHER TOPIC!
DAMN DRINK
