McGard locking wheel nuts

M14 x 1.5 is what I need for VW alloy wheels right?

If so, does the McGard model number need to match what their US site says I should use, or will any with the size above work?

Best place to get a set cheap?

Ebay is your best bet for getting them cheap i think mate. Altho with all the combinations out there it'll make choosing the ryt set difficult. I have bought aftermarket alloys and am in the same mess i dont know what kind to buy sure its M15 x 1.5 with 60 degree slopes and open end....

Can anyone confirm?

Oh there used to be a group buy on these i think but i dunno if its still running. Ay chance of a resurrection???

Why not get some VAG ones? I have them on mine and they look good especially since the covers match that of the other three wheel nut covers...

I got a set, was 12 x 1.5mm (17mm hex) I think from memory. Can post McCard part # if someone needs it, let me know

cyhliu, I was thinking of getting a second set of VAG ones, but they are not that secure, I had one go missing in a car park - yep someone took one locking bolt of my wheel and that was it well I assume so, tbh all had four new tyres around that time, perhaps fitters missed it off by accident, but I doubt it, as I would have checked to make sure all was well before paying and esp to check if all covers were present on the bolts

the mcgard ones are great, unique head shape/key on them. its unlucky that they do not fit the vag bolt covers, so ive had to leave it without one. each wheel now has three covered bolts (one is vaglocking set) and one not

I have aftermarket wheels that arent VAG ones so will i still use the same part number ???/

Yes, I should think so, as you'd want the bolt to be the correct length and thickness, i.e. 12 x 1.5 / 17mm hex for an alloy wheel
