a beauty alright!
Really wanted a silver Gti when I was looking for one.
Insted ended up with a red one....though red is growing on me now...and you dont tend to see many of them.
Anyhow very nice job on yours.

That looks the game mate. Really impressed with that. 8)

Removing those side strips would just finish it off now.

i know everyone likes the smooth as a babys bum look but i actually quite like the bump strips on the sides, just gives the car a bit of character plus it's cheaper to respray a bit of plastic than the whole door if some idiot slams his/her door on your buuutiful new bodywork.

i still think the black b pillar is what really makes that car look the dogs b's. 8) 8)

Wow looks great! 8)

Spraying those pillars must have been a tricky job. What even better is it looks like the car was made like that. There are quite a few cars that have those black pillars, as you can see from the ford probe in the background. The alloys look really clean. Have they been refurbished?

Good pics Phil, almost manages to sell the smoothed look to me

But seriously it's looking great.

Silverblue: As far as I remember, the B-pillars aren't sprayed but covered with black vinyl. And they're not GTi alloys :)

Yep you're right Redline, the pillars are vinyl and there was a post ages ago about the wheels, they're aftermarket ones.

Pictures are tons better mate!! Very nice!!! :)

One question, how do the garages smooth the bumpers??

Do they take off the trim that goes around front and rear??
