Rolling Road Results for my GT

Post by hardhitter »

Just incase anyone is interested, here are the results I got for my GT at the Club Polo Rolling Road day at Wilcox race engines on Saturday.

I got 73.6 BHP at the wheels, which I was very pleased with.

I'm not sure exactly how much power at the flywheel it has, but I believe you use the following formula:

Power at flywheel = Power at wheels/0.877

If that formula is correct, mine pushes out 83.9 BHP at the flywheel :)

It would have been nice to have more GT's at the event to compare figures, but there was only one other GT which made the same power as mine anyway.

cool i blive its around 12% for a front wheel drive transverse mounted engine but as witgh any thing it changes i.e. a lower viscosity oil in the box will lower the persentage

Yeah, it would of been nice if they gave us the flywheel figures but they didn't.

There can't be a 'set' general percentage loss between flywheel and road wheels, as all cars are different. There are differences in gearboxes, driveshafts, hubs and wheels which all give different variables.

So I guess I would have to have it Rolling Roaded again to find the flywheel figure.
