My Car got backed into :(

Post by polopowah »

Well as the title suggests im not really a happy bunny at the moment!

I was staying round the Girlfriends last night, and parked my car on the side of the road (away from any driveways)
and then i woke up about 9am with a knock on the door from her dad...saying that opposite has backed their 4x4 into my car (whilst taking the kids to work)

the thing is she had ample space around her and she agreed it was totally her fault, which i suppose is a plus side.

The Damage..........well
The door is pushed in beyond repair and the rear quarter panel has been buckled aswell.

anyway i don't feel like i want to talk too much about it at the moment!

some pics........

Bugger!

Looks like its open season on Polos again, after what... half a dozen? ... owners have now reported damage or break ins?

The door, I hope, should be a simple replacement job... not sure about the rear three-quarter panel though. Hope it all gets sorted out with the minimum of fuss for you mate!

Sheizze!!

Looking on a plus side she's admited fault, which should hopefully speed things up. Seems a lot of polos are receiving abuse lately.
Hopefully it'll get sorted asap.

Sorry to see that mate, she admitted it which is a big plus.

Yes take it to VW also make sure the paint matches both sides of the car as the sun may have dulled the paint slightly so u dont want mis-matched paint.

 sorry to see this m8!

Yep, do remember, you can have your car repaired where you wish by law, not where the insurance company wants you too... vw garage all the way in this case, as the woman is at fault :)

Really sorry to hear about your door there fella! could be worse,
My car before my polo was reversed into by a lorry - the whole front end literally destroyed. hope no structural damage or that will be costly!
Your only consolation is her insurance is gonna be a whole lot higher now!
