hi there guys, and gals
carrying on from where i left off posting on a different thread im looking at getting my arches pulled, as my tyres scrub on the bodywork whenever i carry passengers in my car.
i know that you can get the arches rolled for around £25 each, but unfortunately i dont think that rollin my arches is gonna make much difference at all, espescialy as coilovers are in the pipeline, so i am looking at having the arches pulled 10 - 15mm each.
i am just wondering if anyone on here has had this done or knows somebody that has, and could give me an idea of how much i should be expecting to pay for this. and an idea of what the job involves.
any help would be much apreciated, thanks
jay.

cos if he did it would have to be almost as high as standard.polo boi wrote:im sure it can be done, but i bet ya its alot of work an quite a bit of cash, how low is ur car? why dnt u raise it a few mill, just 2 stop the rubbing.
his wheels protrude the arch

thats his car and i belive hes running ET15 wheels.
if your skilled with a arch roller i belive you can flair them slightly. i woudl speak to a body shop for advice. just phone around
if they roll them its about £25 per corner if they have to cut and flair its about £150-200 for the rears.
or i belive you can flip the arches. you pul;l out the inner lip and roll that to make a flair but a body shop will advice you on the best options,.

ok, i've been looking into arch pulling, rolling and flairing for adges now as i run 8x14 et15 wheels on my polo and want to go lower but obviously there would be rubbing.
the bodyshop that are doing mine are going to be beating them out by hand and then reshaping them to retain the original shape just that they'll be about 20mm wider at the rear and 10mm at the front. i'm going to be paying 350 to get the work done which is very good considering that the wings and quarters are going to be painted too as when the arches come out this far all the paint will generally flake off.
just go to a few places and see what they say really!
i've had work done by the bodyshop before that are doing mine and they're going to give me a call before they get it ready for paint just to make sure i'm happy with the results first
