Polo coupe

Post by Rob J B »

Hi just introducing my self

Looks like a great forum , I have just bought a mk3 polo coupe genesis only a a 1.o45 I think , tax and tested the interiors stunning for the age , most service stamps the body works in pretty good nick couple of dings and couple of scratches but I, ll get them sorted. have got a few minor mod plans I am going to lower it bout 40mm, put on a k+n filter for now unless any one has any better ideas, I have also got a set of bbs rims in pretty bad nick but I may get them restored or maybe spray for now. I have already sorted the engine bay with a silver resprayed rocker cover cam cover, and air filter cover, believe it or not looks good will have to get some pics on soon.Luckily enough I have some good facilitys to work in at a well known audi vw performance garage. So watch this space

Any one got any subtle modding ideas for my coupe hardly the best looking car in the world but I dnt wanna turn it into a chav moter?

Thanks for looking

sorry forgot to say 2 previous owners and its like a mettalic baby blue and and I paid £150 , only one prob needs a new gearbox but luckily enough I have a 5 speed gear box out of a mk3 golf that with a few minor changes should fit , well so I have been told by a top class mechanic. So it should be ok.

Thanks

Which one would this be?

The first few mods people make to mk3's are pretty simple...

Clear Front Indicators
Late Spec Part Tinted Rear Lights
GT/40 Arches/Sills
Gt Clocks With Rev Counter

After that you're onto Vented front brakes (solid disks suck after a few harsh braking moments),exhaust, lowering, wheels (no bigger than 14" in my opinion)

QR SPORT out in tattenhall mainly Audis to be honest check the web site www.qrsport.com the mechanics are top class. I started an apprenticeship there but due to a baby on the way I had to change to a more high paid job.But I love working on cars.

I have 14 or 15 inch bbs wheels I will have to check to be defo

I am going to put some new tyres on them, I have looked on the venom site at clear indicators any where else I could try ?
