Trying to buy a full suspension kit for the gti......
now on one site im being told the facelift was 2000-2002, on another im being told 2001 - 2003
im gettin confused to hell cos everytime i talk to someone else i get different info!!
what mark or n number is she?
shes registered may 2000

It's a 6N2. or a mk5. GTi normally goes by 2000-2002

I take it you mean mk4, there now the same, the fronts will fit but rears a different (Well thats what i was told)
You need a 6n2 kit, try german ebay (but check it's for the gti, i think they differ)

i think the mk5 6n2(our model) came into production in november 1999(11/99) and ended production in november 2001 (11/01)so basicly 2000-2002. Only 2 yrs of production for the best lookin polo! shockin eh!
you would be able to fit mk4 kits on to the back of the mk5, but the front is different if i recall.....correct me if i'm worng anyone.

yeah the front is different. the bottom of the shockers
will fit, think its the tops which are slightly different.

thanks guys it seems the people selling the parts havent got the faintest clue cos you've confirmed what i thought about the mark and facelift period!
next task hunt some down lol all i seem to find is 35-40mm drop all the time!

what drop are you looking for? There are a few 60 front 40 rear kits available (you can adjust the rear to have it 60/60).
I assume you are after shocks and springs, rather than coilovers?

i want 60mm on a full suspension kit
not going coilovers - no point as ive no one whos willing to adjust height and the kits ive been lookin at have adjustable ride anyway

how do you adjust the rear to have it lower?
