Running Problem

Hi peeps
My car has just developed a problem that happens now and again , usually within a few mins of starting! What happens is the car starts , runs fine but all of a sudden it goes like it would if i was in the wrong gear ie no power and stuttering , any ideas??
I no i need the plugs changing so thats me first idea
