Ok, trying to decipher all that.

Right: Ollie, Cyhliu, way z and myself have 16" RXIIs that look like this:

Image

RXIIs are a two-piece rim, note the bolts around the outer edge that holds the two pieces together.

CymruPolo and MouseGTi have 16" BBS RXs. These are a single piece version of the RXII and as such do not have the bolts around the outside.

be warned, i'd wanted these alloys for ages and watched many sets go on ebay for £300+!! abit of a story behind how i managed to get hold of mine tho..was at the hand carwash and was in a queue behind a Golf mk4 cabrio with body mods and the RXIIs, started chattin to guy about his car and just so happened he was looking to change alloys to bigger size... :o so without making it obvious i was desperate, enquired wat he was gonna do with the RXIIs and he said he just wanted to get rid of them cuz the rims had corroded! not put off i said i'd take them but he was only reluctant cuz he had just put new tyres on 2 of them for £90 each, otherwise he'd just give them to me! so after much haggling, agreed to compensate him £150 for the alloys with tyres, 2 brand new!? the rims of the alloys need a good polish otherwise the centres are fine![/img]

It looks like cyhliu is interested in them. IIRC, he damaged one of his wheels recently, and is on the look out for some. I still reckon you should have another look at the Keskin KT4 wheels.

by the way, redline (sorry i don't know your name!) is it me or don't you think with these RXII's the rear wheels need spacing out abit, like 15mm each side??

My 16" RXII's are spaced out 20mm on the back and 15mm on the front. Looks a lot nicer than without spacers.

Yeah, I think they would probably look better with spacers. To me they look ok as normal, but wider can only be better 8)

One of those things that I sometimes think about doing, but then never actually get round to!

ollie? have you had any probs with the spacers, i'm only on 5mm spacers, but would like to run about 20mm on all 4 corners. Will i need the longer bolts? and iv heard that going for big spacers can pretty shag your wheel bearings?? is this true?? lemme know

Yes, those are them

They should go on with no problems at standard height.

Cheers

I've had no real problems with the spacers really. Just a lot of rubbing :D
If you go with hubcentric spacers, I don't think they'll shag the bearings. It's only with the pikey universal fit ones you get problems with the bearings. 20mm sounds like a good call. You will need longer bolts, but they're usually supplied with the H&R and Eibach kits, which are, in my opinion the best you can get.

The ones I have cost £60 a pair. It really depends on how wide you want them, to be honest.

yea those are the ones and they'll fit straight on... mind you if your planning on lowering better set aside budget for some low profile tyres, they look better too! the tyres on these wheels are gonna rub once lowered and they'll look as bad as this..
