As above
Cheers.
Hw low hve people gone on 195/40/16 alloys w/o arch mods?
Riiiight.
I'm down 60mm on my 16 inch wheels. I have rubbing, but that's because I have spacers, and it only occurs when I have two or more people in the car. I have had no arch modifications at all.
You also have to consider the width and offset of the wheel.
You could probably go down a bit more if you had a wheel with the right offset and width.

Hi Ollie, cheers for the quick reply.
Yer i know that 195/40/16 is the tyre size. I think all i want to go is 60mm all round too.
The width of the alloys im looking at are 7.5, Rondells come in ET35 or Keskins in ET30 or ET25.
Would also a 195/45/16 tyre be fine?, ive had mixed feedback on it.
Thanks

Yeah, sounds good. I've always had a soft spot for Keskin wheels. I'd rather go with a 40 profile tyre, to be honest. I think you may have to get the sidewall stretched drastically to get the 195 width tyre on, but it would look good.
I wouldn't go for 45 profile tyres, but Ben (polopowah on here) runs 45 profile tyres and is down about 70mm.
