13Th unlucky for me!

Post by willy g »

Had a rough day today , dreaded MOT time!!!

Failed on wishbone bushes , rear wheel bearing and both rear brakes!!
I,ve left it with them anyone no if these are big or expensive jobs??

Also he let me off with the front disks and pads but said they need doing asap , anyone no hw much this will cost roughly at a garage?

Oh and on the brake thing i scored a awsome 52% brake efficiency

Ouch! Still, that's the point of the MOT, I guess.

Ok well I don't know about wishbone bushes, so can't help you there.

Rear brakes, what needs changing? New shoes and cylinders will likely cost approx 150.

Similar cost to have disks and pads done, although they're much easier to do than rear brakes. If you're handy with a spanner (or have a mate who is) it's a decent DIY job with a Haynes manual and you can save yourself a few quid.

Remember that approx 70% of your braking is done by the front wheels!
