this has been done in mk4's, but only seen picture from germany...there so much more advanced than us.

can be done though...worth the effort/work?

depends what your using it for?
if its showing and stuff i think it'd be worthwhile, but for everyday.. its going to see alot of wear and tear.. not worth the investment imo.

it does look amazing like, but if you were to get someone to do it for you, then it would be a ridiculous amount of money, but if your doing it yourself.....then g for it
