anyone seen it done before? i would like to speak 2 someone in the know as me an a mate are thinking about it as a winter project

A guy on club polo called Oli had a sky blue one,,,was quite a machine.

yeah there are a few about mate, was told if u got the 16v gear box the G40 will bolt straght on..... how true that is i dont know...

why not try the G60 lump.... abit more fun out of them

One with a G60 lump init was for sale a couple of weeks ago weren't it? That chaved up white one? Did anyone on here buy it?

g40 lump is more reliable, bit rarer. due to its dimensions there is less wear between the scrolls, i think i'd rather go for a g40 engine conversion, its lighter too so it would'nt affect the handling characteristics either.

plus you can alsy fit an M45 eaton from a cooper S too.

saw an eaton'd G40 at E38, it was a totally standard exterior aswell, so it looked like 1.0l or 1.4!!
