Hot yes, Red no.

I've only ever seen BIG power turbo cars do this, so your car might be generating unwanted (and dangerous) levels of heat!

VVT / Vtec engines are great engines, but they arent much fun - unless you want to drive to the redline all the time (in which case they destroy petrol)

I used to a civic jordan vtec (160bhp). It was quicker than the polo but only if you redline it so the vtec kicks in. I read that the polo has peak torque at 3000 rpm, which makes it so much more fun.... When you're driving a vtec around, it feels pretty boring until 5800 rpm. In a more torquey car like the polo, you can have fun all the time!

The Vtec and VVT operate on the same principal. Does make a great noise tho when the vtec hits

i've toasted zetec S's in my valver :D

at first i was going to say you're talking s**t but then I realised I was confusing the zetec S with the ST

tried racing an ST once, was totally up its arse and having to back off through windy roads, he obviously couldnt drive cos his cornering was so slow, but got to a straight and he dropped it in to 4th and was gone lol

You should of bet it. ZS is just under 10 seconds to 60 and aroyund 105bhp, though some have been RR'd a little higher with no mods. I was gonna get one but it was too underpowered and didn't have the interior/equipment of the Polo
