i enquired about these and he said you need mk5 bulb holders.what exactly is the problem your having.he said the fog and reverse lights are on the right side for the uk.think its just the lamp holders you need to be honest, from what he told me.do the actuall lenses bolt on ok without any mods?buy the way how long did it take to get em?if you dont like em or dont want them, please pm me as ill take em off you.im sure your sort em and they will look good though, good luck

1) those are NOT 6N type rear lights as described on ebay. They are 6N2 lights - it even says 10/99 onwards on the picture - that's not 6N! The 6N version of the hella lights DO NOT REQUIRE mk5 bulb holders as Hella have put a convertor in with the lights. I have bought both versions in the past and they are different.

2) I would demand the guy pays for the 6N2 holders after reading the ebay description which is wrong.

3) THEY ARE NOT LEGAL FOR THE UK unless you move the fog to the RHS - a simple job (use a red bulb) but again he has lied in his description that they are ok for LHS traffic. Not true - they are LHD lights.

hope this helps

i agree with david burton. i have the 6n2 polo and i got them and they fitted on fine just had to do a bit of wiring so the lights were on the correct sides but my friend now has them and he has a 6n model and he had to buy the 6n2 bulb holders for the lights as the 6n ones dont work.

as said befor u will need the 6n2 bulb holders.

no guys , trust me. i fitted them exact ones on mine, all you have to do is cut the 2 last wires at the end and switch them around. its a case of gettin 6n2 lights on a 6n. and the link i sent earlier is what u need in order to fit them on. if anyone needs help they can PM me

but the point is that Hella 6N's version of these lights comes with the bulb holders already provided to get the lights working and the wiring sorted.

You can't wire up these 6N2 lights onto a 6N without the 6N2 bulb holders purchased.

The light unit is identical in the 6N2 and 6N hella model, it's just that the 6N model hella have kindly provided EVERYTHING needed. so in reality this is costing the purchaser another 25 quid to get the bulb holders (mine were 12 quid each from VW).

which is crap - and not as the ebay item was described.
