third gearbox gone

2400 miles on a recon'd gearbox?? thats sick!!!

Had my car a few months now and I haven't noticed many problems, its always been a bit notchy & occasionally isnt too keen going into 1st or 2nd. Still got it under a dodgey car dealer warranty so I will drive it up to them if it dies on me

car has done 40000miles no probs as yet very smooth box

Wow you guys have definitley put me of buying a polo gti, sounds as if its a common problem.

Is it common? or are you guys just the unlucky ones?

running on G60 steels for the winter so i dont have to bother cleaning!!!
the bbs rims looked awesome but the TH lines will look superb cos they did on photoshop!

thats what i thought till the other week on 58k, now i have a bill from VW for Â£900! but at least its done now and i can move on to getting things sorted for the summer

Is that price for just the gearbox or does that include your sump work you're having done?
My gearbox looks like it has just gone at little under 62000miles and that price nearly made me fall of my seat
