alexperkins wrote:Hehe cheers dude - so what KnN induction kit have you got? And also, how on earth do you fit it. I cant even seem to get the factory air box off :P
well the factory airbox is only held on by two large screws on the top, then its a case of lifting it off.

well i modified mine by cutting a hole in the top of it

o and its a k&n 57i for the 1.0L,1.4L from www.motorspeed.com

the hole wasn't easy to do, and was hard to measure, so thats why its not a perfect fit!

cheers, well since having that number plate i've had 2 accidents (that weren't my fault), exhaust fell off, splitter broke on a speedbump, car fell off of a jack, cracked windscreen to name but a few problems!

These people do a remap for £249 which they claim will give you 60bhp and knock 2seconds off you 0-60.

http://flash.tuning-concept.info click overview then chiptuning.

hmm 50-60 isn't really much difference when your talking that low down on the HP graph, i'd be more inclined to free up a few horses with a full system exhaust and air filter for about the same money

What makes a full system exhaust different?

hehe yup
was a good show, first time i'd been, hopefully this year i will be able to stay longer (going to book the weekend off work!)

as for the full system, well the parts are brand new and feature slightly larger pipes to release more oomph out of the car, im probably only gaining about 2-3hp though!

hold on? Have i read this right?? 60bhp for £249 quid???? No f*****g chance!!!!!! That would be the bargain of the century. So it could cost £250 to take a 1.0litre to GTI power.......just like that???? Count me in!!!!!!!
